The Heart of Community: Spotlighting Jackson High School Key Club, Wendy’s Dedication, and More Amazing Volunteers

As National Volunteer Week continues, we shine a light on more extraordinary individuals and groups whose commitment to making a difference strengthens our community and helps us fulfill the mission of Housing Hope.

Jackson High School Key Club: Future Leaders in Action

The Jackson High School Key Club has been a tremendous support to Housing Hope, generously donating time and effort to various initiatives. Whether it’s organizing holiday drives or participating in clean-up events, the students of the Key Club have played a vital role in helping us make a difference. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to give back inspire us and give us hope for the future, as we witness the next generation of community leaders stepping up.

Wendy: A Dedication Rooted in Personal Grief

Another incredible volunteer we are proud to spotlight is Wendy, who’s turned her personal grief into a powerful force for good. After losing her daughter, Wendy has supported Housing Hope through financial contributions, volunteering, and directing her employer's volunteer rewards to the organization. “These organizations helped my daughter support herself and her four children,” Wendy reflects. Through her donations, she continues to give back and ensure others in need receive the same support that helped her family.

Her story is one of resilience and hope, and we are deeply grateful for her unwavering commitment to helping others.

Scott: A Quiet Hero Behind the Scenes

Meet Scott, a dedicated volunteer whose contributions are often behind the scenes, but essential to the functioning of Housing Hope. Scott believes in the power of helping others and finds fulfillment in “being able to help when needed.” His work may not always be visible, but as Scott humbly puts it, "They are what makes the engine run." We are grateful for Scott’s commitment to supporting Housing Hope and the difference he makes in keeping our mission alive.
