The Housing Hope Culinary Training Academy:
Our Bright Future in Accessible, Foundational, Hospitality Training
A nonprofit powerhouse where opportunity meets craft, the Housing Hope Culinary Training Academy is expanding its impact. Even though the Kindred Kitchen Café retail space has closed, our free, high-quality training program continues to thrive—and it’s growing under the leadership of two academy alumni turned program trainers: Cody Cadden and Jamie Gregory. They’re now at the helm, guiding trainees toward meaningful employment in Snohomish County’s restaurant industry.

On-the-Job Experience:
Transferable Skills
Trainees also gain valuable on-the-job training by working alongside Kindred Catering staff on large orders. This hands-on experience teaches high-repetition, assembly-line skills in a collaborative, team-driven environment that enhances job applications and interview readiness.
How Restaurants Can Partner with Us
Hire graduates from the Housing Hope Culinary Training Academy to fill open roles in your kitchen, restaurant, or catering operation.
Offer internship opportunities or structured apprenticeship tracks for alumni volunteers returning to the program as they search for employment.
Participate in guest lectures, guest kitchen demonstrations, or mentorship activities that enrich our curriculum and give trainees exposure to real-world industry practices.
If you’re a restaurant owner, chef, or hospitality leader interested in partnering with us, we’d love to hear from you!

Stone Soup returns for its 36th year on May 15th, 2026. From its humble beginnings to filling out the Orca Ballroom, Stone Soup has always played a key role in Housing Hope’s continued mission of addressing homelessness in Snohomish County. This fundraiser provides vital funding for our services, operations, property
maintenance, and so much more, but each year we also shine a light on a specific aspect of the struggles thousands are facing across the county.
For 2026, our programming for Stone Soup is titled “Building For Tomorrow” as we dive into how homelessness affects families with children and their educational journey. We can’t wait to dive deep into this topic and more with everyone this May! All are welcome to attend, whether you’ve been to one of our events before or are joining us for the first time, all you need is an open heart and a passion for supporting your community! There will be a cash bar, a seated dinner, raffle, and more.

What an amazing evening! Thank you to each and every one of you that helped make Community of Hope 2026 one for the record books. Your continued support of this event and Housing Hope's mission will help touch so many lives in East Snohomish County for years to come.
Together, we raised over $65,000 for East Snohomish County operations and programming, and the Dessert Dash alone raised $15,000 which will be used to send children from our East County housing communities to summer camp later this year through partnerships with The Boys & Girls Club and the YMCA.
Thank you to everyone that attended and made the evening so special, to our sponsors for helping ensure the event’s success from the start, our staff for putting in countless hours to pull off this event, and to the venue for being such great hosts and partners for CoH.
