Meet the Leaders:
Cody Cadden & Jamie Gregory
Cody Cadden leads the Training Academy and is building a reputation for teaching excellence in kitchen fundamentals and job performance. He emphasizes creating a learning environment built on trust and shared growth. Cody’s philosophy: feeling awkward is normal, and openness about it helps trainees grow faster. He loves watching trainees master knife skills, discover new flavors, and transform into confident culinary professionals. A standout moment for Cody: helping someone who once lived on Goldfish Crackers and Top Ramen discover a passion for culinary excellence through banquet-style cooking.
“We work hard upfront to create a space where trainees feel safe to experiment, make mistakes, and grow. The more we share our own ‘weirdness,’ the more we take the pressure off their discomfort—and the more they flourish.”
Jamie Gregory draws inspiration from daily student progress. She’s particularly moved by a moment when a non-English speaker modeled safe, efficient knife technique for the group, and by trainee teams collaborating to prepare and plate dishes in appropriate pairings. Jamie is thrilled to partner with Cody and is dedicated to helping as many people as possible find a fulfilling path in culinary careers.
“Seeing trainees grow—whether through knife skills or teamwork—confirms we’re doing something meaningful. I’m excited to help more people discover their passion in the kitchen.”
The Housing Hope Culinary Training Academy is more than a program; it’s a launching pad for culinary careers, a community hub for skill-building, and a reliable partner for employers who want capable, motivated new hires. With Cody and Jamie at the helm, we’re confident in continued growth, expanded opportunities for trainees, and stronger ties with the restaurants and donors who share our mission.
Thank you for supporting a thriving, accessible culinary training program that opens doors, builds futures, and nourishes our community.
