Yesterday, we were thrilled to welcome 12 incredible volunteers from Aviation Technical Services (ATS) to our main campus headquarters in Everett, Washington. Their team jumped right in to support Housing Hope with projects that make a lasting difference for the children and families we serve.
One of their biggest accomplishments was repairing fencing along our creekside area, a spot that school-age children use throughout the summer to learn about the environment. Thanks to ATS’s teamwork, the fence was repaired in record time and now looks absolutely beautiful.
The team also added a fresh coat of paint to our children’s garden, where students in our Tomorrow’s Hope program learn how to plant seeds, grow fruits and vegetables, and discover the importance of healthy food. The garden looks more vibrant than ever, and it’s ready to continue inspiring our little gardeners.
We also loved seeing the volunteers share a meal together, catered by Kindred Kitchen, Housing Hope’s social enterprise, training facility, and full café. Kindred Kitchen offers sandwiches, pre-made box lunches, and catering for events of all sizes, making this day of giving back even more meaningful.
We are so grateful to the ATS team for their can-do spirit, hard work, and willingness to jump in wherever needed. Partnerships like this not only strengthen our community but also create wonderful team-building opportunities for volunteers.
