Housing Hope's Summer Dinner event series returns this July 16th! Following the success of our inaugural event, we wanted to evolve the concept even further for 2026 and beyond by partnering with top local restaurants and guest chefs to elevate the dining experience and provide unique opportunities for HopeWorks Trainees.
Please join us for a benefit dinner for Tomorrow’s Hope prepared by the Culinary Training Academy in collaboration with our first ever guest, Chef Mike, from 16Eleven. You'll enjoy a world-class dinner, hear about all the amazing work happening at our social enterprises, and get an intimate chance to mingle with our leadership team.
Summer Dinner Menu
1st Course
Beet Salad | Sous vide yellow and red beets, gochujang oat cream, pine nuts
Smoked & Silk Tart | Smoked salmon, eel, sweet soy, yuzu crème fraîche, fried caper, dill
2nd Course
Cauliflower Steak | Cauliflower, purple cauliflower purée, pistachio, candied yuzu peel, microgreens
Beef Short Rib | Korean-style soy marinade, braised daikon, water kimchi
Seared Salmon | Cooked salmon, Miso ginger glaze, cauliflower purée, Belgian endive, breakfast radish
Dessert
Vegan Dark Chocolate Coconut Mousse | Creamy dairy-free chocolate mousse made with coconut milk, cocoa, and dates, garnished with raspberry and coconut whipped cream.
Yuzu Crème Brûlée | Creamy yuzu custard with a caramelized sugar crust, garnished with candied yuzu peel and raspberries.
Adding to the beauty of the evening, Kyla Baird, an alumnus of Tomorrow’s Hope, will be working with children enrolled at Tomorrow’s Hope to teach them how to make gorgeous pipe cleaner flowers. These flowers will liven up Kindred Kitchen and will be auctioned off during the event, with proceeds benefiting Tomorrow’s Hope.
This year's event will feature a raffle for a 3-night stay at a Poulsbo Retreat on Hood Canal, just twenty minutes from the Kingston Ferry. This beautiful recently refurbished vacation home has an amazing west facing view of Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains, features a large deck with a swim spa, and is a great launch point for adventures throughout the Kitsap Peninsula. Raffle tickets are $25 and will be available at the event.
Tickets to the Summer Dinner are on sale now! Your tickets includes entry to the event, a dinner crafted in collaboration with our guest chef, and drinks throughout the evening.
Last year's event sold out well in advance, so we highly recommend purchasing tickets early if you plan on joining us. Individual tickets and table packages are available.
We wanted to wish a special thank you to Johnny Carswell, Chef Mike Lim, Apex Everett, and 16Eleven for partnering with Housing Hope and our training academy for this event. Your energy, enthusiasm, and passion to collaborate with HopeWorks trainees for this event means the world, and we are so thankful to have such amazing community partners like yourselves helping shape the next generation of culinary professionals.
