Closing Our Catering Services

It is with sadness that we need to announce the closing of our catering services at Kindred Kitchen on June 30th. Rising costs, industry trends, and federal funding insecurities have made continuing our catering business unsustainable. Following the cafe closure in February, we had hoped that catering could be a viable avenue for retaining our amazing staff. It did not pencil out as we had hoped, and we have made the difficult decision to end operations.

The closure of catering will allow for expanded Culinary Training Academy instruction, as we work to grow our HopeWorks Job Training programs and pathways even further throughout 2026 and into 2027. Having this additional kitchen space will give our trainees increased opportunity to develop the skills they will need when seeking gainful employment in the food service industry.
