Stone Soup 2026 - Post Event Recap
May 15th, 2026
It’s no secret that nonprofits are struggling across the county, Housing Hope included. At every turn over the past year, we’ve been met with federal funding cuts, rising costs & inflation, economic & job stability uncertainties, and a whole host of additional hurdles that are making our mission of providing housing, job training, and childcare services increasingly exponentially trickier from each day to the next. This is the point where many would look to disengage from the turmoil and look for peaceful pastures elsewhere, but not you. No, when many were stepping back, you stepped up and raised over $470,000 for Snohomish County!
This is why nights like Stone Soup are so important. Not only do they bring in much needed funding, but they also bring this incredible community together and reinvigorate us all through a common purpose. As individuals, our impact is limited, but collectively we can move mountains. Only together can we all keep hope alive in Snohomish County, and on May 15th, you proved just that as we raised vital funding for programs, support services, and housing.
During Stone Soup, Francisco Gonzales Robles, Latisha Williams, Aidan FitzGerald, Elijah Bergman, Madalyn Bryant, Meadow Wasserman, and Roan Clarke brought to life the lived experiences from actual families and students in the Edmonds School District in a powerful keynote address. Studies conclusively show that the effects of homelessness directly impact a blossoming student’s ability to focus on their education, negatively impacts relationship building, and quickly adds additional mountains that students must climb to stay on pace with students not facing daily uncertainties. Through combining a heartfelt performance with the emotional weight so many are facing daily, this year’s program really helped to highlight the importance and tangible impact that an affordable housing community like Scriber Place will have on an often times invisible homeless demographic.
We have heard from so many of our attendees how impactful the program was this year and all of us at Housing Hope are so unbelievably proud of the students and faculty that came together and spent countless hours working to ensure that the performance was grounded, representative of issues facing many, and one that emotionally resonated with the core mission we all hold near and dear to our hearts. If you’d like to experience the keynote program for yourself we are excited to share that a full recording is currently available on our YouTube channel (@HousingHopeEverett). Summer Dinner 2026
July 16th, 2026 | 5:30pm

Housing Hope’s Summer Dinner event series returns this July 16th! Following the success of our inaugural event, we wanted to evolve the concept even further for 2026 and beyond by partnering with top local restaurants and guest chefs to elevate the dining experience and provide unique opportunities for HopeWorks Trainees.
Please join us for a benefit dinner for Tomorrow’s Hope prepared by the Culinary
Training Academy in collaboration with our first ever guest, Chef Mike, from 16Eleven. You’ll enjoy a world-class dinner, hear about all the amazing work happening at our social enterprises, and get an intimate chance to mingle with our leadership team.
Adding to the beauty of the evening, Kyla Baird, an alumnus of Tomorrow’s Hope, will be working with children enrolled at Tomorrow’s Hope to teach them how to make gorgeous pipe cleaner flowers. These flowers will liven up Kindred Kitchen and will be auctioned off during the event, with proceeds benefiting Tomorrow’s Hope.
This year’s event will feature a raffle for a 3-night stay at a Poulsbo Retreat on Hood Canal, just twenty minutes from the Kingston Ferry. This beautiful recently refurbished vacation home has an amazing west facing view of Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains, features a large deck with a swim spa, and is a great launch point for adventures throughout the Kitsap Peninsula. Raffle tickets are $25 and will be available at the event.
