Housing Hope Holiday Programs
There are a variety of opportunities to support Housing Hope and our families during the holiday season.
Gift cards can fill so many needs at any given time for families experiencing homelessness and given the chance to start again. Often they have nothing when they arrive at Housing Hope, but the clothes on their backs and a small supply of personal items. With gift cards, we can provide the resources they need for food, gas, clothing and more! Gift Cards to department stores and grocery stores (such as Fred Meyer, Target, Wal-mart, Safeway, etc.) make a big impact. Gift cards can also be used in programs benefiting clients, like College of Hope.
Make a welcome basket for families when they move into the emergency shelter, or provide gifts for a low-income adult, many with disabilities. Most of Housing Hope’s residents do not have the basic supplies needed for their family and children when first moving into our housing. We hope to offer our clients items that can be used all year long.
Other Ways to Help
Adopt a classroom at Tomorrow's Hope Child Development Center. Tomorrow's Hope is the only licensed childcare facility specifically designed to serve the critical needs of homeless and low-income children. Many classrooms are in need of new toys, learning materials and basic furniture. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
