How do I 'attend' the Virtual Stone Soup?
You can attend from the comfort and convenience of your home or wherever you may be through your personal computer or mobile device. Simply go to the
Stone Soup event page between 5:45 pm and 5;55pm on Thursday, May 7th. Relax and enjoy some great jazz music before the program begins!

What can I expect in attending stone Soup?
You can expect an entertaining evening hosted by John Olson, Vice President of Everett Community College Foundation! The program will run from 6-6:30 and includes:
  - A Kindred Kitchen Chef preparing a simple and delicious recipe that you can make at home.

    - An inspiring message from Stephanie Land, author of the bestseller, Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive.

    - An update from Fred Safstrom, CEO of Housing Hope, sharing highlights of the work that Housing Hope and HopeWorks are doing to help members of our community who are transitioning out of homelessness.

    - Mel, a former Housing House resident and graduate, will share her incredible success story.

I'd like to invite friends, is there an invitation I can send them?
Click here to download the invitation and help spread the word!

Do I need to RSVP?
No. However, if someone invited you to attend, you could let them know that you’ll be attending.

What if I can’t make it to the event, can I still participate or donate?

Don’t worry, we will have a video of the entire event on the event page after the event concludes so you can enjoy it whenever you like. You can also make a donation here

Is there a cost to attend?
No. In fact, you will save money by not having to drive across town or having to hire a babysitter!

Is there a minimum donation amount?
No! We hope our event will inspire you to support at whatever level is comfortable for you.

If you're fortunate to be in a position that you don't need the whole stimulus check from the federal government, consider joining many other households in our community who've donated some of their checks to help those most vulnerable in this crisis. To sweeten the deal, the CARES ACT Congress passed will let you deduct gifts of up to $300 from your taxes (or $600 if married filing jointly), even if you don't itemize

Can I make a donation using a check?
Absolutely! Checks can be mailed to Housing Hope, 5830 Evergreen Way, Everett WA 98203 (write SS20 in the memo line).

I'd like to make a donation, but would like to wait until I'm ready. How can I let you know my intentions?

Thank you! You can email with a pledged donation amount that can be paid at your convenience. If you choose to make a gift later in the year, feel free to indicate it was for Stone Soup.

Do I have to make a donation to participate?
No! We invite you to join us for an entertaining evening to learn more about what our community is achieving.
